Delete your data

Last updated 5 October 2026

Draft under legal review. This page describes how BusinessFlow works today, but the wording hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change. Questions: contact@jaidigitalads.com.

This page explains how to ask for personal data held in BusinessFlow to be deleted, what is erased, and what is kept. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

If you message a business that uses BusinessFlow

Businesses use BusinessFlow to talk to their customers on WhatsApp. The business decides what it keeps about you, so your request goes to them, and BusinessFlow carries it out:

  1. On WhatsApp: send the business a message that says only delete my data (or “erase my data”, “remove my data”, “forget me”). Their team sees it as a deletion request, and automated messages to you stop.
  2. Or ask the business directly, in any way they offer.
  3. Or email us at contact@jaidigitalads.com with the business’s name and your WhatsApp number. We will pass your request to the business and help them act on it.

To stop receiving messages without deleting anything, reply STOP.

When the business completes your request, we erase:

  • your name, WhatsApp profile name, custom fields and tags;
  • your conversations’ text and content, the team’s notes and the files you sent or received;
  • answers you gave in lead forms and WhatsApp forms, deals and notes about you, and scheduled messages to you;
  • your phone number, and the business’s contact import reports (they may list it).

Two things are kept:

  • a one-way coded form of your number and WhatsApp ID, so the business can never message you again by mistake (it can’t be turned back into your number);
  • invoices the business already issued to you, which tax law requires them to keep, no longer linked to your contact record.

If you use BusinessFlow (customers and teams)

  • Contacts and conversations: workspace admins can delete contacts, and complete deletion requests, themselves in BusinessFlow.
  • A team member’s account: an admin removes them from the workspace; to have the sign-in itself deleted, email us.
  • A whole workspace: one of its admins emails contact@jaidigitalads.com from the address they sign in with, naming the workspace. We only accept a request from the sign-in email of an active admin of that workspace, and we record that check.

When we receive a request for a whole workspace:

  1. We schedule the deletion for 7 days later and email every admin of the workspace.
  2. Until then, any admin can cancel it: a notice with a “Cancel deletion” button appears at the top of every page in BusinessFlow. Or reply to our email.
  3. After the 7 days we delete the workspace and everything in it: its team members’ accounts and sign-ins, contacts, conversations, campaigns, flows, forms, invoices it made for its customers, imports and import reports, settings, its WhatsApp connection details, and its activity log. Its stored files are deleted from our file storage straight after.
  4. We email the person who asked when it is done.

What we keep after deleting a workspace, and why:

  • invoices and refund receipts issued for payments to us, with the payment records behind them (amount, date, plan, payment method type), for as long as the law requires tax and accounting records to be kept. Buyer details are kept only as printed on the invoice;
  • a record that the workspace was deleted: its name, who asked, when, how the request was checked, and how many items were deleted.

If you connected WhatsApp through Facebook

Connecting a WhatsApp Business account uses Facebook Login. We keep only the WhatsApp account and number IDs and an access token, encrypted. Deleting the workspace (above) deletes them. You can also remove BusinessFlow’s access at any time in Meta Business Suite, under Business settings → Integrations → Connected apps (Meta may rename these menus).
